Common Sorrel Seeds
Common sorrel (Rumex acetosa) seeds.
A beautiful crimson wildflower seen May - August. It adds some brilliant flashes of colour to meadow grassland, even as its flowers turn to golden brown seeds. It also does well in verges, woodland edges and lawns.
It's one for foragers as the leaves are edible and have a sharp lemon flavour - a great way to add some sensory excitement to a garden (or some extra zest to a salad).
An important food plant of the Small copper butterfly.

- Grown organically with no pesticides or herbicides.
- Harvested from the Forest of Flowers site in Huby, North Yorkshire.
